William Autry
WILLIAM HENRY AUTRY was born in 1848 in North Carolina. He was the
son of WILEY WILSON and TISHIE CATHERINE AUTRY. WILLIAM died on
July 14, 1914 in Sampson County, North Carolina. He is buried in
the Joe Moore Hill Cemetery. He was interred on July 15, 1914. He
married JANE T. WILLIAMS . She was born in 1848 in North Carolina
and died on March 6, 1928 in the Dismal Township in Sampson County,
North Carolina. JANE is buried in the Joe Moore Hill Cemetery in
Sampson County, North Carolina. She was interred on March 7, 1928.

Information on William's Dismal family is still being researched.
I have heard much talk about his son Rayford or Rayfield from a
very elderly white man of the present Dismal area. I had the pleasure
of working for him a couple of weeks last year. His name is Houston
Wrench.
William was first found living in the Dismal Township of Sampson
County in 1880. At the time he is a 30 year old farmer married to
his wife Jane with five children. The following is a summary of
