On May 23, 2003, I received an e-mail from my brother, Clarence AKA Allen Omega. He expressed his interest in creating a hard copy (book) on his research. His exact words were, "I think me and you should go ahead and make a hard copy for sale. I figure with a lot of hard work (trips to libraries, court house and LDS centers) a book could be completed by Christmas."

During early part of 2005 he posted the following on his site:

There will be no more updating of information on this site. All additional information will be included in another project that I am going to begin shortly.

That project was to be a work describing his research into the relationship between the Ned Edmund Autry and Ned Edward Autry.

In another posting he stated the following:

Just as I have blindly researched and searched from the present back to the past to put this puzzle together, the average individual can view and search this site and put that same puzzle together. For anyone who cannot, there will be a straightforward presentation when my new project is completed.

Sometime in late November of 2005, I received a call informing me of his cancer diagnosis.

In calling to talk with him after the diagnosis, he was still optimistic about producing "the book." While visiting him I asked, "What would you like the title of the book to be?" Without hesitation he responded, "I want to call it 'Connecting the Dots between the Autry, Herring and Johnson families'."

It has taken me from the time of his interment to this point to draw this line in the sand and say, "This will make up the first edition."
